Founding Partner

Backstory

As a teenager, I spent a large chunk of my time on creative and technical activities. I loved coding on my computer (for the experts here, first computer was Amstrad CPC6128 🙂, then I had a PC 386SX25), I also worked a lot on electronic circuits, welding electrical resistances or sizing capacitors. I even built a scrappy external subwoofer for my Walkman.

Later I studied and work across various industries and geographies, with all my roles involving a strong entrepreneurial component—combining creativity, intuition, and freedom of movement with an analytical, problem-solving approach.

I joined Thibaud and Quentin back in 2015 mostly because I wanted help millions of people solving their daily work challenges, and I saw entrepreneurship and software as the perfect combination to achieve this.

Since then, I I have added a new internal motivation on top of the initial one: I thrive in empowering people to start their companies, helping them realize their dreams and full potential. At the same time, I’m acutely aware of the responsibilities tied to our mission, as our work today could impact thousands of people (employees and customers) in the future.

Over the last 10 years, I’ve met more than a thousand entrepreneurs, worked hand-in-hand with dozens and helped launch over 40 companies. My expertise lies in traditional B2B SaaS and Fintech (I sit at the board of Spendesk and Swan since day 1), and I have also been actively exploring several areas over the last years, such as Climate, Education, Nocode, Devtools, Automation…

I’d describe myself as analytical, intuitive, direct, curious and eclectic (my daily Spotify playlist often mixes Beethoven, Paul Kalkbrenner and Sofiane Pamart).

What he looks for in Partners

To explain what a Hexa partner does, I usually offer this simple explanation: “find business ideas, build a founding team and work with them for about 12 months to kickstart the company.”

If we look at our existing partners, they’re all seasoned entrepreneurs each with distinct preferences for ideas, founders, and products This diversity is a major strength for Hexa, as this is allows us to work on wide range of topics and collaborate with many different types of founders.

The framework we have defined for “working at Hexa” provides partners with significant freedom on what they can work on and we’re committed to fostering even greater diversity. In the near term, we aim to bring on women partners, as we believe this will positively influence Hexa in many ways and help us create more female-founded companies.

Partners are responsible for generating company ideas, and in-depth discussions about these ideas will be a core aspect of our collaboration. I value working with people who combine drive, ambition, autonomy, and humility. Additionally, I’ve found that those who are action-oriented, positive, kind, solution-focused, and pragmatic tend to thrive at Hexa.
