In 2025, our goal at Hexa is to launch 13 startups—that’s 3 more than 2024. It might seem like a small increase, but launching 3 additional companies on the ground is a significant jump in terms of structure and resources. It’s an ambitious but achievable target as we continue working toward our bigger goal of 30 startups a year by 2030.
Two of these companies will come from Hexa Scale, our activity led by Augustin Celier. Hexa Scale is all about partnering with companies that have linear growth and helping them become leaders in their category. We’ve spent the past year getting everything in place, and 2025 will be the year we launch not just one, but two Scale companies, which are already in the works.
How we’ll do it
To achieve this goal, we will focus on several key initiatives:
Partner with 22 founders
To launch more companies, we need to partner with more founders. In 2025, we’re aiming to partner with 22 founders, which is a +4 increase from last year. We’ll keep working with founders who show the qualities we value: humility, ambition, and a hands-on approach.
One of our key focuses is to make sure that 4 of these founders are women. This is a deliberate effort to bring more diversity into leadership and make sure our companies have a wide range of approaches and ideas. These women will be both CEOs and CTOs.
We’ve been talking about how important this is for a while, but 2025 is crunch time. We can’t build the companies of the future without diverse founders. We’re building products for everyone, and that includes women (who famously make up 50% of the population). For our products to really work for everyone, women need to be part it.
Plus, it’s not just the right thing to do—it’s good for business. Research shows that female-founded companies generate more than twice the revenue per dollar invested compared to male-founded companies.
Bring on board 2 new Hexa partners
Our growth in 2025 will also rely on bringing on 2 new partners at the Hexa level. In 2024, one new partner joined us (Ugo Vollmer), so this is a signifcant step up for us. These new partners will play a key role in building companies in Climate and Fintech—two areas we’re passionate about. Climate is the future, and fintech has always been a strong focus for us, but we’re also very open to other specializations if the right person comes along.
The big priority is that at least one of these partners will be women. We believe that the best way to bring more female founders into the fold is to lead by example—by having female partners who can actively recruit them. Female founders need to see themselves reflected in the people already at Hexa.
Grow Hexa's core team by 10 people
Hexa’s core team is the foundation of everything we do, and we know that having a strong internal team is key to helping our startups succeed. In 2025, we’re planning to grow our core team by 10 people, focusing on Product, Design, and GTM.
At the heart of every startup is its product and the strategy behind getting it to market in the right way. As we ramp up the number of startups we’re launching, we’ll need to increase our product output by the same amount. That’s why we’re focusing on these key areas—so we can maintain the high level of quality we’ve always been known for when it comes to supporting our founders in these domains.
Recruit 40 first hires for our startups
The first few hires at a startup play a huge role in shaping its culture, the quality of its tech, and its overall direction. In 2025, we’re aiming to recruit 40 first hires for our startups in Tech, Engineering, and Sales—a +20 increase compared to 2024, which reflects our increased startup output.
These early hires are the ones who help lay the groundwork. They bring fresh skills, new ideas, and the drive to turn early concepts into real businesses. By focusing on Tech, Engineering, and Sales, we’re making sure our startups have the right people to build their products, tackle technical challenges, and grow in the right direction.
2025 is about doing more, but also doing better. With the right founders, the right team, and a clear focus, our goal is to build companies that deliver the change our ecosystem needs.
