Hexa closes a €29 million financing agreement with four major European banks to fuel its growth

Reflecting on an outstanding year

2024 was a milestone year for Hexa. We launched 10 new companies, bringing our total to 50 since our inception in 2011. It was also a significant year for investments, with ten of our portfolio companies securing a total of €70 million in funding from top-tier VCs such as Point9, LocalGlobe, Eight Roads, and BPI. We also celebrated a successful exit, as Numeral joined forces with Mambu.

Beyond startup creation, we introduced Hexa Scale, a hands-on initiative to help promising but underfunded startups scale successfully. Last week, we announced our first majority investment (€5 million) in Veevart, a U.S.-based SaaS platform designed to help museums streamline their operations.

€29 million financing to accelerate growth

This €29 million financing is structured as a revolving credit facility, established in partnership with Belfius, Caisse d’Epargne Hauts de France, BNP Paribas Fortis, and CIC. This flexible financing structure will provide us with the liquidity needed to seize new opportunities, expand the team, build and scale more companies, and sustain our long-term growth vision.

What’s next?

In 2025, our goal at Hexa is to launch 13 startups—that’s 3 more than 2024. It might seem like a small increase, but launching 3 additional companies on the ground is a significant jump in terms of structure and resources. It’s an ambitious but achievable target as we continue working toward our bigger goal of 30 startups a year by 2030.
